About Me

Cheese, pumpkin baskets by Edle Julve

Hi! I'm Edle Julve, an Argentinian cook, looking for new experiences in the cuisine world. Spices, oils, meats and other products can be transformed in works of art, but, How we do that? Simply following recipes? Or there is something more in the art of cooking?
In my family cooking is a ritual and a moment of joy, my mother, father and grandmother always cherished this art with deep pleasure. Each of them had their own style, unique, and in some way their dishes were different, even if the recipe was the same. They were my first teachers in this path that does not have end.
I never though that I would work in the cuisine industry, finally I did, and I never expected to become a cook, but now I am one. Working in this business I learned from chefs that is necessary to know more, always there is a technique, a way to improve the performance in cooking. Now, I am working in a restaurant in Toronto, and through this experience each day I am learning techniques, preparations, how to manage a business like this.
Now, I pursue the goal to become a chef, since I want to have the technique, the knowledge to imagine new recipes and design them. My dream is to have my own business and make the difference, create in people the pleasure of eat, to make them happy through flavors and aromas.

Ina Garter QuoteIn the culinary world there are lot of quotes like this one of Ina Garten, however I am going to choose my family motto. My father once said to me that "cooking is an act of love", my grandmother also said those words when she cooked. I could understand the meaning the first time, many years after, when I prepared my first dishes and I saw the pleasure and happiness in the faces of my family and friends when they tasted my food. Since then, I also adopted that motto when I cook, and I hope to be able to transmit this idea through this blog, not only recipes or tips, also this philosophy in cooking.

Blogging cooking content always seem a good idea, nevertheless, I never did it for different reasons, time, work and other projects always delayed the

experience. I follow different websites related to cooking and my favorite one is Paulina Cocina website (https://www.paulinacocina.net/)
since this space offer a huge variety of recipes with simple ingredients, encourage people to cook and gives tips to organize an entire week meals. My unique critique of the blog is that It should have an English version because the content is simply great and friendly. She also has some recipe books that are simply amazing!

Through the next posts I hope to transmit the idea of cooking as an art form, love and passion. I hope to achieve this with my recipes, tips and stories.

See you in the next posts!
